There has already been significant early action on a number of lines for Week 12 of the college football season. Sports Action examines some of the biggest moves.

Matchup to watch

Wisconsin opened -9.5 against Michigan before other shops jumped into the action with -7.5. The early ticket count is all on the Wolverines, though Michigan is 1-8-1 ATS in this series since 2000.

Both teams are ranked in the top 20 in Rushing S&P+, but Michigan’s 111th ranked Rush Defense IsoPPP could forecast multiple 20-plus yard runs from Wisconsin. Another area to worry about backing Michigan is in third down conversion percentage. Wisconsin ranks first in converting third downs, while Michigan is 105th.

Other Week 12 notes

· Miami of Ohio has moved from pick'em to -3 in their game against Eastern Michigan set for #MACtion Wednesday. This can be interpreted as taking the team with bowl aspirations (Miami) against a team with seven losses (EMU). Bettors may remember the Miami of Ohio 2016 team that won six straight to end the regular season 6-6 and qualify for a bowl.

· Old Dominion quickly moved from a -6.5 opener to the current number of -9 against Rice. This is another situation where the Monarchs are competing to make a bowl and their opponent, Rice, has been eliminated from postseason contention.

· Duke took early action to move the line from +9 down to the Blue Devils +6 against Georgia Tech. While the Yellow Jackets are fresh off the small upset of Virginia Tech, they are in a sandwich spot before finishing the season with the Georgia Bulldogs. Also, this is the second week in a row the Duke defense will face a triple option team.

· Although Tennessee has fired coach Butch Jones, LSU opened -14 against the Vols and have slowly trickled to -15.
