After a lot of close calls this fall, we're on the board in the 2017-18 season.

Patton Kizzire played the best golf of his career during Sunday's 36-hole marathon at the OHL Classic. After rain basically washed out play on Saturday, he took the lead by a stroke at the 54-hole mark early on Sunday, then built enough of a cushion in the final round to hold off a charging Rickie Fowler for a one-shot victory at 66-1.

In his three years on Tour, Kizzire has played his best during the fall portion and on shorter courses. His weakness has been the driver. He's a medium-length hitter who is very erratic, so the fewer times that club is pulled, the better. This course fit his strengths to perfection.

The win for a .55 unit bet plus his top 5 at +1450 for another .55 unit play brought back a total of 44.275 units.

On top of that, we also got Charles Howell III in fourth and Russell Knox in ninth to cash their top 10s for a unit each at +425 and +500. Overall, the win and three place bets returned a net profit of 46.625 units.

Now, we turn our attention to the final event of the fall swing, the RSM Classic in St. Simons Island, Georgia. It's actually another good spot for Kizzire, and I think he'll have a realistic shot at going back-to-back. But we'll dive into that on Monday when the odds come out. Until then, I hope everyone cashed in on the win.
